This has gotta be the good life

I've been back in Evansville for 1 week and 3 days and I can already tell that this semester is shaping up to be incredible.

I actually love every single one of my classes and professors. My schedule is pretty awesome, too; I never start before noon or go later than 4:15.

There may or may not be a new boy in my life... That's all I'm going to say about that for now. :)

Hannah and Ryan visited this past weekend. It was my first time seeing them since the wedding {7 months ago!} so, of course, we had amazing time. They left this morning and I'm already missing them like crazy. It hurts my heart that they live so far away. I'd give almost anything to have them back in Evansville again.

But-

I get to see them again in exactly 2 months when we travel to St. Louis for the KELLY CLARKSON CONCERT which I might just be a tiny bit excited about...

There is so much in my life to be thankful for and happy about right now.

I'm so blessed.

Metamorphosis

It is absolutely astounding how much can change in one year.

I've been looking back at old blog entries from this time last year and it amazes me how different I am now. The person who wrote those posts seems so much younger than the person I am right now. She was insecure, unrealistic and almost naive. She was investing so much time and energy into a person who she knew wasn't good for her... but she didn't care.

Thank God for 2011.

Thank God for the events that helped me to grow, learn, laugh, cry, change, mature, develop, and challenge myself. It wasn't always a cake walk but looking back, I wouldn't change a single thing.

I am so much stronger now.

I am confident.

I have more self-esteem than I've ever had.

I'm not the only thing that changed over the past 12 months. Situations, relationships, outlooks, opinions... I feel like everything got flipped upside down this year and even though I kinda hated it sometimes, I see now that sometimes change can be a very beautiful thing.

Thank you, God, for such an incredibly influential year. Thank you for the new people You've placed in my life and for the ones who never left my side. I'm so blessed.

2012 will be my year.
